The People Have Spoken
Jennifer Aniston, Sydney Sweeney, Tom Hiddleston, and Laverne Cox made a splash on the red carpet, while host Simu Liu kept the evening going.

A guide to Hollywood’s biggest races
An awards show at which Jenna Ortega's performance in Scream VI triumphs over Cillian Murphy's Oppenheimer turn? At which “bingeworthy” is an entertainment category? And which one nominee characterized as “f*cking nonsense”?
We're talking about the People's Choice Awards, my friends, the user-generated honors in film, TV, music, and pop culture that for decades was a product of Procter & Gamble, the folks behind Charmin, Febreeze, and Metamucil.
P&G unloaded the awards to E! in 2018 for an estimated $8 million, and the network promptly moved the event from its usual January to November, an effort to avoid competition with other awards ceremonies. That changed this year, but though Sunday's ceremony might have been overshadowed by that day's BAFTAs, plenty of stars still managed to come out.
That said, many announcements of winners were followed by an “I'll accept this award on their behalf.” One conspicuous absence was athlete of the year winner Travis Kelce, who opted to remain in Kansas City as opposed to making the trip to Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar for the Simu Liu-hosted event. “What did I do to get Athlete of the Year?" the tight end for the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs asked on his podcast last month. “It's f*cking nonsense. How am I on this?”

Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, also took home four awards, including “social celebrity of the year.” She, too, was absent, but she had a more notable excuse: She was in Australia for her Eras Tour, which the people deemed the concert tour of the year. The full list of People's Choice Awards winners for 2024 are listed below.
