How do you build the fundamentals of being “square” to the puck to 9 year old goalies? Simple- “Your belly button has a laser beam in it and the puck is the alien. You keep the laser pointed to the alien” We watched a goalie sessions in Calgary with young goalies with this particular coach yelling “BE SQUARE, you have to be square. No No not like that…. Square” (not sure the goalie even knew what “being square”even meant) These sessions for the young ones have to be FUN while building fundamentals. They have to want to come back because it’s fun first. (You can disguise the fundamental parts with fun games and ideas) Get to the #Nextlevel with Top Prospects Goaltending.
