When Celebrities Cross the Line: Cardi B Demands Nicki Minaj Stop Involving Her Child in Their Feud
October 3, 2025
The drama between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has reached a boiling point, and it’s not just about their music anymore. But here’s where it gets controversial: after days of back-and-forth jabs, Nicki Minaj issued what many are calling a ‘backhanded apology’ to Cardi B’s daughter, Kulture, only to reignite the feud further. Cardi B’s response? A firm, ‘Keep my child’s name out your mouth.’
Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj took to X (formerly Twitter) to address her previous comments about Kulture, which many deemed inappropriate. ‘Dear Kulture, truth is: I did all of this for a bigger purpose, and one day you’ll understand,’ Minaj wrote. She went on to describe Kulture as a ‘cute child’ with ‘funny-looking gums,’ adding, ‘One day you’ll see this, so I have to say: I apologize.’ But the apology quickly turned sour as Minaj took a swipe at Cardi B, claiming, ‘One day your mother, aunt, and many more will be brought to their knees for what they’ve said AND TRIED to do to my young prophet/beautiful boy.’
And this is the part most people miss: while Minaj framed her message as an apology, it felt more like a thinly veiled attack, leaving many to question her sincerity. Cardi B wasn’t having it. Minutes later, she fired back with a post directed at Minaj’s son, Papa Bear, mirroring the format of Minaj’s letter. ‘Don’t give my child no backhanded apology,’ Cardi wrote. ‘Keep my child’s name out your mouth, ’cause I’mma always take you where you don’t wanna go about mine.’ She added, ‘This back-and-forth about kids is really draining my energy. I don’t wanna keep mentioning kids—it feels very nasty and dark.’
The feud has sparked a broader conversation about boundaries in celebrity disputes. Is it ever okay to involve children in adult conflicts? Cardi B seems to think not, and her stance has resonated with many fans who find the situation distasteful. Meanwhile, Minaj’s approach has raised eyebrows, with critics arguing that her apology did more harm than good.
As the insults continue to fly, there’s no clear end in sight. Cardi B recently dropped her highly anticipated album, Am I the Drama?, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 200,000 album units. Minaj, on the other hand, is gearing up for her own release, set to open the gates of Gag City on March 27. But with their personal feud dominating headlines, it’s hard to focus on the music.
What do you think? Was Nicki Minaj’s apology genuine, or did she cross the line? Should children ever be brought into celebrity disputes? Let us know in the comments—this is one conversation that’s far from over.
